The mission of CYO is to provide the highest quality programs to our young people. We are committed to provide these programs based on integrity, fair play and the right of all individuals to participate. We view our responsibility as extending far beyond the mere teaching of athletic skills, our programs offer the opportunity to develop moral standards in all of our young people.
First, we hope you and your family are safe and healthy, which is most important. St. Edward CYO is acutely aware that the kids, and parents, terribly miss participating in youth sports programs, which are such an integral part of mental and physical well-being of our youth. St. Edward CYO and our parent organization, CYO of Long Island, along with the Archdiocese of Rockville Centre, have been working cooperatively in planning the reintroduction of CYO sports programs this fall, with a primary focus squarely on the health and safety of the entire CYO community. CYO of Long Island has hired Perotta Consulting, an expert in the field of threat mitigation and emergency operations planning services, to help CYO come up with a set of guidelines for all CYO sports.
